FT - DCC WOWSOUND SOUND VALUE-EQUIPPED Locomotive - NEW YORK CENTRAL (lightning stripe) - HO Scale. The FT locomotive produced by EMD beginning in the late 1930’s is credited by historians as one of the most important locomotives of all time. The first of the EMD’s widely popular F-series diesel locomotive designed for freight service, it was successful in convincing rail systems across the United States that diesel locomotives were the future of rail travel and worthy of replacing long-used steam locomotives. Bachman’s new HO scale locomotives feature TCS WOW Sound prototypical sounds and a Keep-Alive device for uninterrupted operation even over dirty track.
