The Neo/SCI Neo/SCI 1017101 Cell Division: Mitosis, Meiosis and Cytokinesis DVD is a documentary film of the mechanism and process of cell division using computer animation and microscope imagery for students in grades 6-12, is narrated by noted scientists Dr. Jeremy Pickett-Heaps and Julianne Pickett-Heaps, and includes a viewer’s guide in PDF format, curriculum correlation, was produced by Cytographics Pty. Ltd., released in 2006, and is 20 minutes long. The film emphasizes the central importance of cells in life, that living cells can only arise from other living cells by cell division, and distinguishes mitosis (nuclear division) from cytokinesis (cell division). 3D animations include how the mitotic spindle is assembled and chromosomes attaching to spindle fibers.
