The Zero Fighter (JP: ???? ????? ?????), code: A6M Zero, was a Japanese propeller fighter during World War II.
The Zero fighter has a single-seat, single-engine, straight-wing layout. In the early days of World War II, the aircraft was superior to other fighters due to its small turning radius, fast speed, and long range. A large number of fighter jets were put into the battlefield, and the advantages of the aircraft were gradually lost.
The A6M Zero was developed by Mitsubishi in 1937 and successfully entered service on April 1, 1939. On July 31, 1940, it was Japan's main carrier-based fighter in World War II, and the largest at the time.
