Challenge coins are the number one collectible item for US Military personnel. Almost every unit now has its own unique coin.

Challenge coins can be used to signify membership in a particular squadron or regiment, be presented by unit commanders in recognition of special achievement by a member of their unit, or to commemorate a special event or occasion.
